Cookies and Baileys Irish Cream is a natural pairing, and now you can get it in one delicious snack.
Bahlsen Choco Leibniz Cookies feature a crunchy butter biscuit, which is coated in a layer of delicate milk chocolate with the taste of Baileys. A serving contains less than .5% alcohol, so you don’t have to worry about getting tipsy from indulging in this decadent treat.
According to the product description, the cookies are “rich, but not heavy — a delicate treat — a delicious pairing of cookie and chocolate. Well-balanced flavor with the perfect amount of sweetness makes it difficult to stop devouring!”
You can snag three packages on Amazon for $14.99.
The collaboration between Bahlsen and Baileys also brings a second variety of cookie, First Class Baileys. These cookies offer a cream filling with the taste of Baileys sandwiched between crispy wafers and topped with delicate milk chocolate. They contain no alcohol, so this is a treat the whole family can enjoy. You can also get three boxes for $14.99 on Amazon.
Both varieties would pair perfectly with a cup of coffee and make for an easy yet impressive dessert. There’s no wrong way or time to enjoy these delightful cookies!
The cookies are not exclusive to Amazon. You can also find them at retailers like Jewel-Osco, Raley’s, Club Foods and Kroger (if you’re in Houston). Use the Bahlsen locator to find their products near you. Two similar/identical types of Bahlsen x Baileys cookies, the Choco Liebniz and Baileys Squares, are also getting a release in the U.K. this fall.
“Consumer appetite for special treats has seen ongoing popularity over the years, with consumers keen to have indulgent biscuits that are ‘worth the calories,’ which is particularly reflected in the growth of Choco Leibniz,” Julien Lacrampe, trade marketing manager at Bahlsen, told FoodBev Media. “These two new product developments, in collaborations with Baileys, much-loved consumer treat, are some of the most indulgent biscuits we’ve created, and we’re excited for consumers to enjoy them this autumn.”
Bahlsen’s Leibniz treats originated in Germany more than 130 years ago. At the 1893 World’s Fair in Chicago, Bahlsen received the gold medal for its Leibniz Cakes. The company promises quality ingredients free of preservatives, artificial colorings, artificial flavors and GMOs. They are also a member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil.
