If you liked today you will love Sunday as we will have bright sunny skies with temperatures a tad warmer in the mid to upper 60s.

A few high clouds will start to slide over Acadiana on Monday but it will still be quite sunny and warm for January with highs in the lower 70s.

Late Monday night into early Tuesday morning a fast moving weak cool front will swing through Acadiana sparking off a few passing showers.

Behind this front cooler and breezy conditions will dive down into Acadiana as highs will fall into the upper 50s to lower 60s Tuesday afternoon with winds out of the north at 10-20 mph adding an extra chill to the air.

Wednesday morning will be our coldest of the week with lows in the mid to upper 30s.

After the chilly start Wednesday will be a nice winter day with lots of sunshine and highs in the mid 60s.

Thursday a southerly flow will start to push Gulf moisture back over Acadiana which could lead to a few isolated showers.

Scattered showers become more numerous on Friday as an approaching front moves closer to the region.

Showers and a few storms continue into Saturday as the frontal system finally swings through the area.

God news is we will get one nice weekend day as skies clear Sunday afternoon with temperatures still comfortable in the mid 60s.
