We've made it to February and as we start a new month the weather looks like it's going to be a real treat to start the month.
Plenty of sunshine on Monday with only a few clouds early in the morning, which will help push temperatures into the mid 50s through the afternoon.
While the thermometer will read mid 50s, gusty winds from the north around 10-15 mph with gusts around 20-25, which is going to keep the wind chill in the upper 40s through the rest of the day.
The winds are expected to relax later in the evening and as a result lows will drop down into the mid 30s, which will lead to areas of frost Tuesday morning across Acadiana.
Despite a brief cold snap to start the week the weather is looking good for the next several days with plenty of sunshine through the middle of the week.
The next chance for some wet weather will arrive on Friday with a stalling cold front.
