The cold front has passed through and a few clouds will be left over early this morning. But sunshine is expected to make a big return today with picture perfect weather remaining for the rest of the week.

Northerly breezes will continue to dry the air mass out. Humidity levels will drop today as highs will only reach the lower to middle 70s for daytime highs. There will be a bit of a chill in the air, especially in the shade as wind speeds will gust into the 20mph range by this afternoon.

Overnight, skies will remain clear. As the wind subsides, temperatures are expected to cool down nicely. Expect lows early Wednesday morning in the low to mid 50s. A few 40s may be possible over central Louisiana, especially in rural areas!

More sunshine is expected for Wednesday, with highs in the upper 70s. Highs should reach the 80s by Thursday. Night time lows will remain in the 50s. Another shot of cooler air will slide into the region by the weekend, keeping the weather pleasant for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Dry conditions are expected to linger into next week.
