A Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for Acadiana as a line of thunderstorms moves quickly across the area early Wednesday morning.
The storms have had a history of producing both quarter sized hail along with winds that are in the 60 mph range, although showing some signs of weakening there's still enough energy to see them ramp back up.
As you go through the morning be sure to be mindful of any active weather and stay on top of any warnings or alerts that may be issued, the front is moving fast which is welcomed news.
We are receiving reports of pea size hail in parts of Acadiana.
Once the storms have pushed through the area Acadiana will start to see improvements as the post front air pushes into the region, it will begin with a wind shift as winds push in from the north around 10-15 mph.
Clouds will slowly start to clear through the late afternoon and evening and a mostly clear night will allow temperatures to drop into the mid 50s overnight into Thursday morning.
The rest of the work week is looking very promising with cooler, drier air along with plenty of sunshine.
