Clouds will finally begin to break up today. After several gray days and somewhat damp conditions, we'll see improvement over the weekend. Those looking for a cold front will have to wait until next week. But good things come to those who wait!
Expect skies to become partly cloudy by this afternoon. Temperatures will start around 70 degrees with afternoon highs in the lower 80s. Winds will remain light out of the north. Rain chances will be minimal. This evening should be comfortable for Football Friday fans. Some clouds will return overnight with lows in the upper 60s.
Saturday, skies will start somewhat cloudy again, but peeks of sunshine will return by the afternoon. Temperatures will climb into the low to mid 80s. The Cajuns Game should be fine, although a brief, stray shower can't be ruled out.
For the remainder of the weekend, expect sun and clouds mixed. Temperatures on Sunday will reach the mid 80s, with humidity levels on the increase.
A cold front is expected to roll through late Monday. This will bring a better chance for showers and thunderstorms. Highs will reach the mid 80s ahead of the front.
Next week looks much cooler. Clouds will be slow to break up on Tuesday, but sunny skies are expected Wednesday though Sunday. Highs will be in the 70s with lows in the 50s!
