The fine weather will continue into the weekend as dry air holds on across the region. Morning temperatures Friday have run in the upper 60s with dew points in the upper 50s. This provides comfortable conditions and below normal temperatures for early June. Expect the dry air to stay during the day today. Sunny skies will warm us up into the mid to upper 80s again, and a nice breeze will make it even more comfortable.
Into Friday night and Saturday, clear skies will remain in place. Overnight temperatures will once again reach the mid to upper 60s. Sunshine returns Saturday with highs in the upper 80s, with a few locations, especially over central Louisiana, flirting with the 90 degree mark.
Temperatures Saturday night won't be as cool, but still comfortable for mid June. Lows will reach the upper 60s inland, with lows near 70 at the coast. Sunshine again Sunday with highs near 90.
Net week starts out warm as highs will start climbing into the lower 90s. We'll feel more humid conditions by late Sunday into Monday. Rain chances won't return until late next week. Lack of daily rain chances is a bit unusual for Louisiana, as June is our wettest month on average.
Tropical weather is quiet this morning, and no systems are expected to develop over the weekend.
