High pressure is in control and we're starting the mid week on a nice note. Skies have been clear during the overnight period with temperatures in the 40s and 50s area wide. Expect plenty of sunshine today with afternoon highs in the mid 70s. This is normal for the early part of April! Another nice night is in store with lows in the mid 50s. The ridge of high pressure will slide eastward Thursday, but sunshine will stick around for at least the morning with a few clouds during the afternoon. Highs will again reach the mid to upper 70s.
More clouds are expected by Friday as the next system cranks up to our west. Temperatures Friday should reach 80 degrees. A stray shower is possible Friday, but not likely. The front will edge closer to the region on Saturday with more upper level support. Right now the timing of the rains looks to be late afternoon, or perhaps Saturday night. The front will stall, leaving us in the warmer sector on Sunday and Monday. The front lingering will also keep some slight rain chances. Highs early in the week will be in the 80s.
