Showers and thunderstorms are continuing to move eastward out of the region. Expect clouds to hang on during the morning with northerly breezes will help to scooping out the cloudiness by this afternoon. Temperatures will remain on the warmer side, but humidity levels will be dropping. Highs will reach the upper 70s and lower 80s. Quiet weather is expected Tuesday and most of Wednesday before the next system winds up over Texas during the middle part of the week. Highs Tuesday will reach the mid 80s with lower 80s expected for Wednesday.
By Wednesday afternoon, clouds will in place. A warm front will lift out of the Gulf of Mexico, as low pressure spins up over Texas. This low will bring a good chance for thunderstorms late Wednesday into Thursday morning. A chance for severe thunderstorms will exist again, although the models aren't suggesting a widespread outbreak. Most of the Acadiana area is in a slight chance for severe weather according to the Storm Prediction Center.
The front will exit the region early Thursday. Skies will become sunny. Temperatures will be cooler with quiet weather into the weekend.
