Continuous News and Weather for Acadiana

Hot and humid through the rest of the week

It’s a hot and humid stretch here in Acadiana with plenty of sunshine and little that’s going to help keep us cool the next few days.

The only real help we’ll get with the temperatures is a steady breeze that’s coming in from the south at around 10-15 mph.

Unfortunately, while it may help a little with temperatures the winds will push more moisture into the atmosphere which will push up the humidity.

This time of year humidity means a heat index, and Wednesday afternoon the heat index will push between 95-97 in the evening.

It will stay sunny and hot through the rest of this week with little change from day to day, even the daily rain chances which we get in the summer will be at a minimum.
