Just walking outside you’ll want to do a double check of the calendar, but it is indeed the first day of April and temperatures really are down in the 30s.

This is following a day where we only hit the mid 50s in the afternoon the day before and while it’ll still be cool Monday the sun will be shining.

Monday’s forecast is shaping up to be a good one with clouds cleared out and plenty of sunshine through the majority of the day.

As we roll into the evening a round of clouds will stream in from the west lasting through dinner and a little after sunset.

Since the clouds won’t stick around there’s not going to be much that will get in the way of a major cool down, sending temperatures down into the 40s.

We’ve got a couple more sunny days to go after Monday but some major changes will arrive on Thursday in the form of showers and strong storms.

The potential of severe weather will be there on Thursday with damaging wind and hail the major threats to worry about.

It’s still too early to pinpoint exactly where the severe threat will manifest itself so we’ll need to pay attention to how the forecast evolves this week.
