It’s time to leave the weekend, and the incredible weather it came with, behind us as we kick off another week.
The work week will kickoff with a front pushing across the areas which will bring in a round of showers and thunderstorms Monday evening.
An early round of showers and storms are rolling through the northern half of the state which could spark some scattered activity in Acadiana for the morning.
As the day goes on the clouds will thicken and the showers will start to become a little more organized with another round of thunderstorms arriving by the evening.
There is an outside chance that one or two of those thunderstorms end up being severe, capable of producing some hail.
The chance is slim, but since it’s a non zero chance it’s worth talking about, it won’t be a widespread event but very isolated and short-lived.
Once the front moves through Monday evening it’ll be back to a beautiful springtime forecast with cooler conditions and plenty of sunshine.
The rest of the work week will be similar to last week with cool, comfortable temperatures and plenty of sunshine.
