While the rest of the country is gripped by the clutches of winter we can start the process of looking ahead to some warmer conditions coming up later this week.
In the meantime, we’ve got another chilly day on Wednesday with temperatures staying in the low 50s in the afternoon.
Skies are going to have a layer of high clouds pushing across the region leading to mostly cloudy skies, although because the clouds should be thin it won’t necessarily be a dreary gray day.
Winds will stay slightly breezy coming from the east northeast around 5-10 mph which may knock the wind chill down a degree or two from the thermometer.
This starts a gradual shift to winds from the south which will lead to a slow warm-up through the week with 70s back by Friday.
As the temperatures warm up the atmosphere will become a little more unsettled and rain chances will start to crawl up.
