Sunshine slowly gives way to clouds

The forecast will keep quiet for one more day as we wrap up the work week and look toward the weekend here in south Louisiana.

Looking fairly familiar at this point, the forecast will start off on the chilly side with plenty of sunshine and even crisp feeling air.

As the days goes on sunshine will get our highs to creep into the low 60s, which is a little warmer than where we’ve been for the last few days.

Winds will slowly start to shift and become more southerly later on Friday evening, this change in winds will not only bring in some warmer air but also some clouds.

The change arrives ahead of a front that is expected to move through the region on Saturday late morning, sparking some scattered showers across Acadiana.

While expected to be a wet afternoon the rain totals aren’t going to be over a quarter of an inch so it’s more or less nuisance rain.

Showers will clear up Saturday evening and the clouds will slowly clear through the day Sunday as temperatures drop back down at the end of the weekend.
