A less than ideal forecast for the next few days across Acadiana as we look at another round of cloudy, rainy weather.

Flash Flood Watch is up through Thursday for the majority of Acadiana as rain will eventually spread from the west to the east.

Those areas could be looking at 3-5″ inches of rain over the next few days, with a lot of that arriving on Wednesday, while the rest of Acadiana could be looking at 2-4″.

Rain should be slow enough that we shouldn’t see major widespread flooding, but it wouldn’t come as a shock to see some of the roads struggling to drain.

During this two day rainy stretch there doesn’t look like there will be any sunshine and it’ll be that continuous gray that we’ve seen the last several days.

There is some good news in the forecast, however, and that is the sunshine which is right around the corner and will be out in full force by the weekend.

Clouds will slowly clear Friday morning and once we tap into the blue skies we’ll be looking good for the rest of the weekend.
