The holiday week is here and as we start the holiday season it looks like the forecast is going to be a roller-coaster.
Showers and even a few thunderstorms will come rolling across Acadiana during the early afternoon with the heaviest rain expected a little after lunchtime.
Rainfall will ease up through the evening eventually becoming light drizzly type rainfall by the overnight hours, and coming to an end entirely by Tuesday morning.
Temperatures will range into the upper 60s on Monday early in the afternoon, this is before the front moves through and temperatures start to fall through the day.
The lows will drop into the 40s by Tuesday morning and clouds will clear through the day on Tuesday giving us another day of sunshine.
This week will be marked by a series of disturbances that will spark a few rounds of rain through the week, the heaviest showers look like they will move through on Friday.
As everyone hits the road this holiday week make sure you keep an eye on the forecast and how it evolves through the week.
