We woke up to the first freeze of the year Thursday morning with frost forming courtesy of the calm and clear conditions.

Despite a below freezing start we will still see our warmest afternoon of the year with the highs sitting in the mid 50s, along with plenty of sunshine.

The skies are now clear after a gloomy first half of the week, and it will stay that way through the remainder of the work week.

Winds are going to finally relax Thursday after a blustery few days so the wind chill won’t be too different from the thermometer.

Temperatures will crawl into the 70s by Sunday as winds will be back from the south injecting a little warmer air into the forecast.

That warmer air though comes along with more moisture in place so look for a few more clouds by Sunday and the forecast becoming more unsettled by Thanksgiving Week.
