Showers have cleared, clouds will take a little longer

It took a little while to them to move out but Thursday’s showers have more or less cleared out of Acadiana. While clouds will try and thin out a quick glance at the visible satellite (pictured above) shows plenty of clouds left to go. The cloud deck stretches all the way to Texas and we’ll slowly clear through the day and into Friday from west to east. After a soggy commute to work the drive home won’t be too bad and even the roadways will have had a chance to dry out.

Temperatures look to be a little warmer than the last several days with the highs expected to run into the mid 70s, even with the cloud cover. Despite a warmer afternoon it still looks like a significant drop in temperatures Thursday night, and Friday morning we’ll be seeing the mid 50s again. Gradually you can expect more sunshine on Friday even so highs will be cooler than Thursday’s will. This sets the stage for a warm and sunny weekend before a dry cold front brings in another round of cold temperatures.
