Continuous News and Weather for Acadiana

Fall is here, and it looks like it’ll hang around

It’s been well over a hundred days since Acadiana’s temperature has dropped below 70 degrees, but after a seemingly endless wait we finally have some cooler weather.

A front on Wednesday has pushed out the warm, muggy air we’ve been dealing with (seemingly forever) and has brought in a refreshing change of pace.

While temperatures will be cool in the morning hours they do warm a good bit in the afternoon with highs in the upper 70s and low 80s.

The humidity is low enough that even with temperatures in the 80s it won’t feel all that bad outside, and there will even be a nice breeze coming in from the north.

If you can’t enjoy the weather on Thursday then the good news I have for you is that this weather will stick around for the next few days.
