A quiet start to the Christmas week as low pressure drifts to the east. Some wrap around cloud cover will linger into the afternoon, especially over the eastern parishes. Eventually, sunshine will return to the entire area with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. High pressure will then build in for the middle part of the week, before unsettled weather returns for the weekend.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day should be dry and mild. Sunny skies are expected for Christmas Eve, with more cloud cover for Christmas Day. Expect highs in the upper 60s for Tuesday, and lower 70s can be expected for Christmas Day. Overnight temperatures will hold in the upper 40s and lower 50s.
Clouds will hold for the latter part of the week with a few isolated showers returning to the forecast by the end of the week. A few scattered showers are possible into the weekend. Temperatures will remain mild.
