A brief, but welcomed, quiet stretch of weather

and last updated

Acadiana is getting a chance to dry out to start the week after a wet couple of days across the area, and even a very brief break from the typical mid May humidity.

Skies have cleared across the area and winds will be steady out of the north blowing around 10-15 mph through the late afternoon, which will help push in some drier air.

Highs on Monday will sit comfortably in the mid 80s, and lows will drop down into the mid 60s for early Tuesday morning which is shaping up to be a pretty hot day.

While Tuesday will be slightly drier outside this will actually allow temperatures to run a little warmer and we'll be getting real close to that 90 degree mark.

Once we get to the middle of the week we will return to the warm, muggy weather that is so common during the summer time, and as you've probably guessed we'll have that forecast going forward for quite a while.
