Acadiana will enjoy picture perfect weather for the first couple of days of spring with lots of sunshine and seasonable temperatures.
Thanks to a dry atmosphere, once the sun goes down it will cool nicely again tonight with temperatures dropping into the mid-upper 40s area-wide…just like living in the desert!
And don’t forget to check out the Super “Worm” Moon tonight. It will be rising at 7:11 pm and be at it’s brightest at 8:44 pm.
The moon will be roughly 14% larger and nearly 12% brighter than average.
Look for more full sunshine Thursday as another reinforcing ridge of high pressure builds in keeping it cool at night and seasonably mild during the day through Friday.
Highs Thursday will be in the low to mid 70s.
Lows will cool nicely again Thursday night with readings by Friday morning in the mid-upper 40s…more perfect sleeping weather!
Friday will be another sunny and slightly warmer day with highs pushing well into the mid-70s.
Changes are on the way for the weekend as high pressure slides eastward allowing for a general increase in cloudiness this weekend.
Rain chances look to remain low this weekend, near 10%, as the atmosphere stays relatively stable.
Temperatures Saturday and Sunday will stay in the mid-70s, but could push 80 by Monday ahead of a cool front that should generate scattered showers and perhaps a few thunderstorms.
Monday’s rain chances are in the 40% range, and there could be a slim risk of severe storms , but like nearly every system this winter and early spring, it appears that the primary severe weather dynamics should stay north of Acadiana.
Another several days of nice spring weather should follow after Monday…with the next system to bring clouds and rain chances to Acadiana, you guessed it, the following weekend!
