Hope you were able to get outside this afternoon to soak up the sunshine and warm temperatures in the lower 70s because some chilly air is heading for Acadiana.

And the cooler air will be arrive as soon as this evening so grab the jacket later on tonight as temperatures will be dropping into the lower 50s by 10pm and eventually fall down into the upper 30s and lower 40s by Sunday morning.

Here is a look at the latest hour by hour temperatures.

Then Sunday afternoon temperatures will remain on the cool side as highs will struggle to reach the mid to upper 50s, even with a full day of sunshine.

On top of the cooler temperatures it will be breezy tonight and Sunday out of the north at 10-15 mph making it feel even colder.

So, for those heading to the Saints game you are going to want to have a coat or jacket to stay warm for tailgating and then leaving the stadium after the game.

Tuesday looks to be another winter-like day with morning lows in the upper 30s and lower 40s and highs below average in the upper 50s.

By Wednesday high pressure finally slides off to the east and winds begin to turn out of the ESE warming temperatures into the low to mid 60s.

Scattered showers return Thursday and Friday as a couple upper level shortwaves slide across the region.
