Quiet weather returns for the week

and last updated

As the last of the students return to school the forecast remains in its typical summer slump with very few variations or changes in the forecast from day to day.

African dust made its return to the forecast on Sunday and looks to stay fairly dense for the first half of the week, giving the atmosphere a hazy tint and subduing daily rain chances.

Lacking any significant cloud cover temperatures will be back in the mid 90s with the heat index ranging back to the 102-104 range, while this isn’t anything out of the ordinary it doesn’t make it any less hot.

Humidity will stay high with daily showers returning to the forecast by the middle of the week, but it doesn’t look like we’ll see any significant amount of rain through the extended forecast.

All in all it’s another quiet, hot week in south Louisiana.
