When you finally see your best friend after being apart for a while, you just have to go in a for a big hug, right? That was certainly the case for Maxwell and Finnegan, a pair of 2-year-old best friends from New York City. The toddlers have known each other for about a year, and they love doing just about everything together.
Maxwell’s dad, Michael Cisneros, took to Facebook to share a video of the two boys excitedly running toward each other and then embracing, and it’s simply adorable. “I have no idea how to make things go viral, for those that do….please share,” he wrote. “This is just so beautiful. Finnegan + Maxwell = BESTIES!!! If we could all be like this”:
He then tagged a number of media outlets, including Oprah Magazine and NBC New York. His plea to make the cute video go viral worked, and it has now been viewed more than 150,000 times. It also has more than 2,000 reactions, more than 3,000 shares and more than 500 comments.
How cute are these little guys when they squeal with laughter upon greeting one another? I just may have to bookmark this post to play to cheer me up when I’m having a bad day!
The boys were on their way home with their dads when they spotted each other.
“When they are away from each other, they are always asking about one another,” Cisneros told “Good Morning America” of the pint-sized besties. “They go to music class together, Dana Banana (a weekly music event) and they love to dance — both are excellent dancers.”
How sweet!
Luckily, they live just a block apart, which allows them to hang out all the time as well as swap clothes, toys, food and everything else best friends share.
“They communicate with each other in ways we don’t understand, but they sure do,” Cisneros told HuffPost of the boys’ special bond.
We have a feeling that these two are headed for a lifelong friendship!
