UPDATE: All lanes were reopened on I-10 Westbound shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday, October 10, according to Louisiana State Police.
At 7:50 p.m. Thursday, I-10 Westbound was still closed near Whiskey Bay.

Earlier Thursday, we reported that I-10 Westbound was closed near Whiskey Bay, because a vehicle was burning.
According to the state DOTD website, the highway was closed on the basin bridge, near La. 975, or mile marker 129.
