WASHINGTON, La. — There is currently a temporary road closure in the 700 block of Prayerhouse Road in Washington due to a washout.

According to St. Landry Parish Government, a contractor has been mobilized and will be working overnight in an effort to expedite the necessary repairs.
Updates on the progress of the repairs will be provided soon, says Layne Herpin, Public Information Officer.
