Eunice Police have arrested a local resident Monday in connection with a May 2023 shooting.
Back in May, police were called to a shooting where one person was shot but a total of five victims were involved. There were three suspects in the case, and one person already has been arrested.
The second arrest was Louis Daniel Jones, 20, who was arrested Monday and booked with five counts attempted second-degree murder.
He also was booked with several additional charges, including possession with intent to distribute schedule I drugs, possession of a firearm in the presence of drugs, possession of a machine gun and possession of drug proceeds.
"The Eunice Police Department would like to thank the Eunice City Marshal's Office and the citizens of Eunice for their assistance and cooperation in apprehending Jones," a release states.
