Rumors that Billy Napier would meet with South Carolina Saturday appear to be verified as multiple reports say the Cajuns coach indeed met with the school.
Napier has been connected to a number of coaching searches, both Ole Miss and Mississippi State last winter, and now the SC opening.
Ross Dellenger of Sports Illustrated is among those who reported on the meeting between Napier and SC says the Cajuns will do what it takes to keep Napier in Lafayette.

Cajuns intend to keep Napier understanding the value of a successful FB program & its role in elevating and growing the university.@FootballScoop had earlier reported about a potential Napier-SC meeting.
After the Cajuns' wild win at Appalachian State Friday, Napier didn't respond to a question about whether he'd travel to Columbia for the interview.
Under Napier, Louisiana is 27-11 in three seasons with three appearances in the Sun Belt championship game. The team is 20-4 in the last two seasons.
