Thank you to LSU for some of the best years of my life! I will forever be grateful for the relationships and memories I have made there. pic.twitter.com/H2c6WWJ69b
Willis was a highly touted prospect out of Ruston High School. He was drafted in the 39th round of the 2018 MLB Draft by the Tampa Bay Rays.
With the Tigers, he was never able to get consistent playing time. As a freshman in 2019, Willis played in 24 games, batting .212 with 7 RBI. In 2020, he only saw action in 5 contests. He registered 12 total starts in his 2 years in Baton Rouge.
