A lane violation in the final seconds Friday night negated a game-tying three as Louisiana hangs on to beat Arkansas State 52-49.

The Cajuns struggled from the field, shooting just 28-percent for the game. Skyler Goodwin led the team with 11 points. Ty Doucet scored 8, recording 12 rebounds and blocking 5 shots.

While the box score doesn't look great Garry Brodhead says he comfortable winning these types of games.

"I feel pretty comfortable that most of our games are going to be won on the defensive side," said following the win Friday. "We talk about it during timeouts that we talk about if we don't make stops, we don't win the game, because we're not relying on making shots."

Louisiana's win is it's seventh-straight, marking the longest win-streak in 15 years. They'll play to finish the four-game season sweep of Arkansas State at home Saturday at 4 p.m.
