LAFAYETTE (KATC) — On a night where the ball didn’t travel well at Lamson Park, Julie Rawls left little doubts in a three-run home run that sealed the Cajuns 10-2 win.
Rawls led Louisiana with 6 RBI on 2-4 hitting. Her three-run home run gave the Cajuns a 9-2 lead in the fifth. She drove in two runs in the second on a single, and another one on a first inning fielder’s choice.
Summer Ellyson struck out 11, her tenth double-digit strikeout performance this year. She entered the night fifth in the country in strikeouts.
