LAFAYETTE (Press Release) – For the first time since 2016, and what will be the 30th time in school history, Louisiana Football and Tulane will meet on the gridiron as the two programs announced, on Wednesday, a two-game series that will rekindle the in-state matchup starting with a meeting at Cajun Field on Sept. 21, 2024 and a Sept. 4, 2027, matchup at Yulman Stadium in New Orleans.
Louisiana and Tulane last met in a four-overtime marathon on Sept. 24, 2016, at Yulman Stadium, tying the record for longest game in program history. Louisiana dropped that matchup, 41-39, but the Ragin’ Cajuns claimed the last meeting at Cajun Field between the two programs, when on Oct. 6, 2012, Louisiana defeated Tulane by an on-field score of 41-13.
