LAFAYETTE (KATC) — The Ragin’ Cajuns have no shortage of experience on offense.

Louisiana returns three of the top four leading running backs from last season, all pass catchers who eclipsed 100 yards for the season, and both quarterbacks in competition have at least a start under their belt.

While the Cajuns replace a few starting linemen, starters Grant Horst and D’Aquin Withrow graduate along with several key backups, Louisiana is as experienced there as any other positions.

Juniors Cole Prudhomme (12) Robert Hunt (24) and Kevin Dotson (24) have 60 career starts combined and will be the anchor in the trenches. Even those who are vying for the other two spots have experience, Ken Marks, Staten Wade, and Adrian Good have a combined five career starts.

Last year, in a sense, I got my toes wet,” said Prudhomme. “Now when I go out there it’s a repeat in a sense. I see the defense, and how they move and I can tell when defensive linemen is coming in and the backers are moving out, and I’ve stepped up my game. The offensive line has stepped up a lot.”
