Saints Defeat Chargers 30-27 in OT.

After New Orleans won the coin toss in overtime, kicker Wil Lutz' 36 yard field goal in OT gave the Saints the 30-27 lead. The Chargers had a chance to answer, but the Saints defense came up with a big stop on 4th down, as cornerback Marshon Lattimore tackled LA WR Mike Williams a yard short of a 1st down.

New Orleans at one point trailed 20-3 in this game, but then scored 17 unanswered to tie the score at 20.

The Chargers took the lead back in the 4th quarter, thanks to a 64 yard TD pass from Justin Herbert to Mike Williams to make it 27-20. The Saints tied the game up with a Taysom Hill touchdown to make it 27-27.

Los Angeles had a chance at a game winning field goal, but Michael Bagdley missed off of the goal post from 50 yards out.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara finished with 119 yards on 19 touches, while WR Emmanuel Sanders had 12 catches for 122 yards.

Chargers rookie QB Justin Herbert finished with 264 yards and 4 TDs in the contest.

New Orleans advances to 3-2.
