Former NFL insider for ESPN, Josina Anderson, reports that the Saints are willing to move star running back Alvin Kamara.
I'm told the Saints are open to trading RB Alvin Kamara, per source.

Kamara has been absent from Saints camp recently. There are conflicting reports to why, some citing an injury, others say he's holding out. The running back is due to make $2.133 million this year in the final year of his rookie contract. Kamara told the NFL Network he's not holding out.
Spoke to #Saints RB Alvin Kamara and his agent and neither has asked for or demanded a trade. As of today, they thought they were actively negotiating and making progress on an extension. Kamara has never threatened to hold out and has been in the building every day.

Earlier in camp Kamara downplayed extension talks, saying, " I’m not concerned with contract talks at all. Me and my agent talked briefly about it, and I told him, ‘Don’t tell me anything about a contract until stuff is happening and there’s something I need to know.’ If I was my own agent, then I would have everything to tell you guys about a contract, but I’m not. I don’t talk [with the front office] about contracts, I don’t talk to coaches about contracts.”
Kamara would fetch elite running back money, somewhere around $15 million-per-season. But few running backs have rewarded their teams for that type of pay. Last season, Ezekiel Elliot was the only of the four backs in the league making north of $10 million who finished better than 20th in total rushing yards.
The NFL has generally devalued the running back position in recent years, but this fall six players are due to make more than $10 million. Making $16.015 million, Christian McCaffery is the highest paid running back in the league.
