NEW ORLEANS (KATC) The Sheldon Shimmy will be in New Orleans through at least 2020.
The Saints picked up Sheldon Rankins’ 5th year option Wednesday keeping the former first round pick around for two more seasons.
Reports suggest the contract will be worth more than $13 million.
Tn three seasons with New Orleans, Rankins has 14 sacks,including 8 last year before he was hurt in the NFC Divisional round game against the Eagles. Rankins tore his Achilles and will be out for the first several weeks of the season.
