NEW ORLEANS (KATC) – In a meaningless week 17 game for the Saints, the Carolina Panthers beat a piecemealed New Orleans team 33-14.

Drew Brees was one of a number of Starters who didn’t start for New Orleans Sunday. In his place, Teddy Bridgewater got his first start since the Saints traded for him in late August. Bridgewater completed 14 of 22 passes for 118 yards, a touchdown and interception.

In the loss Michael Thomas broke Joe Horn’s single season Saints’ receptions record for receiving yards in a single season.
