METAIRIE (KATC) — Marshon Lattimore said last week he looked forward to working against somebody not in a Saints uniform. He’ll get that wish as the Saints will practice against the Los Angeles Charges this week ahead of their Friday Night preseason game. Lattimore will spend the week facing Keenan Allen one of the league top wide receivers.
“I love the competition. He is a great receiver and I have a lot of respect for him as a player. Just getting the competition, I’m up for it. I want to do it of course,” he said last week.
“When you get a chance to practice with another team you get different formations offensively, different type of schemes defensively, different system and our experience last year with them was really good,” said coach Sean Payton Sunday as New Orleans closed camp. “(Last year) It was competitive, and those guys do a good job, our guys practiced hard on both teams. I think it’s a good workweek.”
