The LHSAA has apparently pushed back the start of its football season until Oct. 8, sources confirmed with KATC. This was first reported by the Advocate.
There was no public announcement, but LHSAA executive director Eddie Bonine sent out a memo to schools on Wednesday with updated calendars for all fall sports.
The LHSAA has not yet confirmed the schedule, but a Zoom meeting is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. today.
