NEW IBERIA — When you watch Catholic of New Iberia QB Trey Amos run, it looks like a weight has been lifted off his shoulder.

"i'm doing this for my family because everybody is counting on me to do good," Amos said.

That freedom burst him into stardom in 2018. Amos finished with over 2,300 yards total and 40 touchdowns. He helped lead the Panthers to a runner-up finish in Division III and was the District 7-2A Offensive MVP.

"What he does he gets out in the open field," Catholic Head Coach Brent Indest said. "He'll pick that knee up, wait for you to make a decision, and then he makes his decision based on what you just done."
