Lafayette Christian scored 10-points in the opening quarter, just enough to win a fourth championship in as many years, beating St. Charles Catholic 12-7.
LCA scored on an 80-yard pass play to Caemon Scott on the opening drive. A field goal on the ensuing drive gave the Knights ten first half points. LCA added a safety in the finals seconds of the game.
St. Charles Catholic, who only surrenders about 10-points-per-game, bottled up LCA's offense who played without Sage Ryan. The Knights' defense did the same leading the school to a historic fourth-straight title. LCA becomes just the sixth program to do so.
