VILLE PLATTE — Ville Platte head coach Jorie Randle is a defensive guy, but can;t help to be excited about his offense this year.
"I hope I don't jynx them," he said after glowing about them.
Randle returns eight starters on offense including his quarterback Terrian Roy who he has high hopes for this season.
"This is probably the most vocal I've been with a quarterback," he said. "I hate to sound emotional and the older I get I learn. When I first came it was all x's and o's, let's do this and that, drop backs, three step drop, ball at your feet, follow through. But the more you learn you learn you have to get to know the kid. We text and talk all the time... I want him to play to his athletic ability and be the player I know he can be."
In 2018 Ville Platte went 3-7 in district 6-2A. A district known for championship caliber teams like Notre Dame and Welsh. This year the Bulldogs take Eunice's slot in district 5-3A, the toughest 3A district in Louisiana.
2018 Record: 3-7
District: 5-3A
Head Coach: Jorie Randle
Returning Starters: 8 on offense, 5 on defense
Other Notes: Leave one tough district in 2A for another one in 3A
