LAFAYETTE — Unsuccessful is not in the vocabulary at Teurlings Catholic.
The Rebels finishing 4-7 in 2018, their first losing record in a decade. The results were a shock to the system, but TCHS is hoping it spark better play.
In the 3rd year of the Dane Charpentier era, Teurlings feels like they finally have the speed they need to run his fast paced system.
The main focus for the Rebels this offseason has been finishing. TCH dropping at least 4 games last year where they either had a 2nd half lead, or the Rebels were within a score in the 4th quarter.
"Thats really been one of our biggest emphasis," Teurlings LB RJ Tripp said. "Theres way too many games where we competed with teams that like the whole city thought we would get blown out by. But then, come halftime, were up by 3 points. Or down by 3 points. We kinda have a little breakdown toward the end."
