LOREAUVILLE — At this time last year, Head Coach Terry Martin was less than a month in to taking the Loreauville job.
Developing continuity with a new staff and new players in less than 2 months was always going to be an uphill task.
Add in some key injuries for the Tigers, and the result is a 1-9 record in 2018.
Things are looking up in Iberia Parish though, as Martin has spent a full offseason with the Tigers. Also, Loreauville does return virtually everyone in 2019, as the Tigers lose only 6 seniors.
One of the returning starters is Quarterback Zy Alexander, who is a rare 4 year starter at QB with the Tigers. Alexander also plays Free Safety, where Martin believes his versatility gives him lots of potential.
"I've had the good fortune of coaching some really good guys," Martin said. "Domanick Davis. Rookie of the Year with the Texans. Couple other guys that played on national championship teams at LSU. Looking at his potential, he can be right up there with all those guys. He's a really tall, long kid. 6-3. Runs really well. Actually has the ability to play 3 spots in college."
2018 Record: 1-9
