EUNICE — The Eunice Bobcats have as tough a road as anyone to run it back to the dome in 2019.

Eunice moves out of 3A into 4A, a classification domincated by three teams: Edna Karr, Warren Easton and Neville.

Those three program have won every championship and every state runner up in 4A since 2014.

Eunice joins a brand new district 4-4A with teams like Rayne and North Vermilion. Paul Trosclair, entering his 23rd season, feels good about his team's chances in the district, but feels it's depth could be a limiting factor/ This year the Bobcats return nine starters on offense, two on defense and Trosclair hopes the team can find a little of that magic that carried them to the dome last year.

"As far as I'm concerned we're starting from scratch," said Trosclair. "Every day we have to get better and that's what we did last year."

"It put a target on our back. Everyone wants to come after a state champion. 'That's the state champion Bobcats right there, let's take them down," said senior offensive linemen Lane Devillier I think if we keep working hard and trust each other and better ourselves than we'll have a good season.
