LAFAYETTE (KATC) – There has been little doubt this season that LCA would return to the Superdome. Their dominance can be summed up in one stat, the Knights outscored opponents this year 745-61.

LCA has been as dominant as any team in Louisiana. It’s winning games on average 57.3 to 4.7. Even in the semifinal when LCA went on the road to face top seeded Southern Lab, the Knights rallied 35-20.

Zach Clement, Errol Rodgers, Martin Lee, Sage Ryan, Logan Gabiel are just a few of the faces who have been apart of the program the past few years. A team that gone 26-1 since the start of the 2017 season. A season ago the success led to a 10-0 win over Ascension Catholic in the state championship.

“This is a special group,” said head coach Trev Faulk. “This is really a special group of kids. Most of them are three year starters for us. A couple of them have been starters for us for a couple years. And so this is kind of a bitter sweet deal for us.”

“This has been a great journey to be here. I love my school. I love all my teammates that I’ve had and grown up with here. There’s a lot of great memories here and I’m just thankful for the opportunity here,” said senior quarterback Zach Clement.
