KATC is gearing up for Friday Night Football. This week kicks off week eight of Acadiana high schools going head to head on the football field.
Game of the Week:
This week KATC’s Game of the Week Vermilion Catholic at Lafayette Christian.
It’s a battle of unbeaten teams in our Game of the Week as Vermilion Catholic (7-0) visits Lafayette Christian (7-0.) It’s the second straight year these two teams meet with district 7-1A on the line. Last season the Screamin’ Eagles edged LCA 10-9 in their regular season match-up. It was LCA’s only loss in 2017 as the Knights went on to beat VC 30-28 in the state semifinals on their way to the program’s first state championship. VC’s 28 points in the semifinals were the last points scored on LCA, who won the title game 10-0 and has outscored opponents 409-0 in 2018.
