KATC is gearing up for Friday Night Football. This week kicks off week three of Acadiana high schools going head to head on the football field.
GAME OF THE WEEK: Carencro vs. Acadiana
It’s a classic Lafayette Parish rivalry, Carencro vs. Acadiana, in our game of the week. The Rams come off a thrilling Hail Mary victory at Ruston last week, while the Bears blanked New Iberia 41-0. Carencro’s new option-heavy offense took Sulphur to the brink in week 1, another strong showing against a top flight 5A school will raise the bar of expectations. The Rams are 2-0 with wins over Kaplan and Ruston. Acadiana is seeking a 3-0 start for the second straight season. The Rams have won the last two meetings between these two teams including a 48-13 win last season.
