NEW IBERIA (KATC) — This week’s Senior Spotlight feature’s New Iberia Senior High School’s student body president and girl’s soccer standout, Morgan Landry.
Morgan is a National Honor Society member and starter on the Yellow Jackets varsity soccer team. Considered a reliable leader on the pitch, Morgan is also involved in NISH’s marching and concert bands.
Recently Morgan participated in a program called fire starters; a program designed to focus on the needs of young people like herself, in hopes that they’ll choose to stay in Iberia Parish after college.
Born in Hawaii, Morgan’s parents moved to New Iberia when she was two years old. She hopes to attend UL after high school and hopes to eventually work in the medical field.(KATC) — This week’s Senior Spotlight feature’s New Iberia Senior High School’s student body president and girl’s soccer standout, Morgan Landry.
“Even though I was born in Hawaii, these are where my roots are,” Landry says. “And I want to come back here and make other people realize how great of a place it is to live.”
